  • Other: Our focus is on strengthening four key priorities essential for prosperous communities and a strong region: Supporting efforts to help students succeed academically by strengthening traditional education systems and community institutions; promoting physical and mental well-being to improve the overall health status in the region; helping people of impoverished communities become financially secure to break the cycle of generational poverty and move up the economic ladder.

Organization description:
The Foundation for the Mid South invests in people and strategies to build philanthropy and promote racial, social and economic equity in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. We work to enhance community resources and leadership through regional cooperation. By using private philanthropic resources, we fund, develop and promote programs in education, economic development, and support for families and children. The Foundation brings people and organizations together by forming networks, collaborations and partnerships throughout the region.
