Organization description:
CORE Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE), formerly known as J/P Haitian Relief Organization, a 501(c)(3) organization, was founded January 19, 2010, immediately after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake devastated Haiti. In response to this unprecedented disaster, CORE mobilized a network of doctors, emergency workers and government officials to take immediate action in Haiti. Since 2010, CORE has continued to work in Haiti with a team of Haitian employees working to rebuild communities every day. CORE has taken the experience gained in Haiti to expand its disaster relief and recovery efforts worldwide.
