Organization description:
HASER is an acronym for Haciendo Acciones Socio-Ecológicas Resilientes (Taking action for socio-ecological resiliency). HASER is a Puerto Rican nonprofit organization committed to the well-being of our archipelago, its communities and ecosystems. Our mission is to promote social well-being in Puerto Rico through community-based projects for equity and quality of life in food sovereignty, nature conservation, social and environmental justice, arts and culture. Partnering with community-based organizations and grassroots groups, we implement projects that drive transformations from the ground up through the Network of Actions Program. HASER has built a shared resource and infrastructure to build a society where communities organize in different ways and implement resilient and socio-ecological strategies to improve equity and quality of life on the planet.
