Fiscal sponsorship fee:
$45 Basic Membership + 7%-10% of moneys paid out from account under our umbrella (not on moneys raised). Must have $500 in account before grantwriting can begin. We charge additional fees on a case-by-case basis for some additional services, such as grantwriting, rentals, human resources, etc.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Aligned mission/values: Must allign with our mission statement in some way
  • Type of service: Literary Arts, Literacy, Creative Writing, Reading, or Words-based
  • Has an advisory group: A minimum of three people and/ or can belong to our council of sponsored programs

Types of projects or services we sponsor:

  • Arts and culture: Literary Arts / Interdisciplinary with Literary Arts, AIE
  • Children, youth and families: Mentoring, “At Risk” populations
  • Drug treatment: Writing therapies through rehab clinics and prevention
  • Economic development: Building of language arts skills
  • Education: Tie-Ins with Language Arts
  • Environment/sustainable growth: Digital, Nature-writing, Green
  • Faith-based/religious: Tie-ins with Literary Arts
  • Festivals and events: Book Festivals, Literary Festivals & Fairs
  • Health/nutrition: Poetry / Literary Therapy, work in hosptials and treatment centers
  • International development: Translation, international reading and writing
  • People or communities of color/minorities: Ethnic and geographically segregated populations writing from their experiences for selves or others
  • Social services: Interventions and enrichment opportunities working through reading and writing
  • Women: Women’s writing and reading groups
  • Youth development: Mentoring and young people’s reading and writing programs, including Slams, Hip Hop tie-ins

Services we offer projects:

  • Auditing: Outside audit for our organization with all sponsored groups under our umbrella
  • Bill paying: pay bi-weekly invoices
  • Bookkeeping/accounting: maintaining partitioned accounts
  • Computer IT
  • Human resource management: additional charge
  • Insurance
  • Office space: additional charge
  • Payroll: additional for large staff
  • Receiving property and stock donations
  • Tax reporting: All required forms
  • Other: Some services may require extra charges depending on amount of work involved (e.g., office space, human resource management).

Organization description:
We are the only year-round, full-service community-based literary center for creative writing and literature in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Our events, professional development programs, and educational projects actively express our mission to “foster the education and development of readers, writers, and audiences by putting them in touch with quality literature, each other, and the communities in which they live and write.”
